With the conclusion of school picture days held on September 2 & 3,  the Prepay online link was turned off at 7:55PM, Tuesday, September 7.  You may still complete the order form below at any time and send in your payment directly to Network Photography.

If your student was unable to have their picture taken on these two days or if they wish to have them retaken, picture retake day will be held on October 15 from 7:30-11:00AM in the Auditorium.

You may also click on the School Picture Order form below to print a physical copy of the order form and send it with payment when your student has their picture taken. Order forms will also be available on picture retake day.

Registration for the Fall 2021 and Winter 2022 sessions of ACT Test Prep is now open. The dates are Saturday mornings, Oct. 9-Nov. 13, 2021 or Jan. 8-Feb. 12, 2022. AP test fees are due by September 30, 2021 for the May 2021 AP exams. The College Board made some significant changes for Advanced Placement courses and testing starting with the 2019-2020 school year. One important change that started last year was that students now register and pay for their AP tests in the beginning of the school year instead of mid-year. The cost for each AP test is $96, with the test fee waived for students who qualify for free/reduced meals. The deadline for test registration and payment is September 30, 2021. Students will complete an online registration process in their AP classes. You will be able to make test fee payments through Infinite Campus, just as you can for other school fees. The AP test fee can be added to your cart by going to fees/my account/optional payments. Most tests are listed separately; if the test is not listed, select other AP exam. The other payment option is to bring cash or a check made out to Oshkosh North to the school bank. If your student qualifies for free/reduced lunch, your student will still need to go to the school bank to confirm his/her intention to take the exam and to be added to the test roster. Oshkosh North High School invites you to the 10th Annual Homecoming Parade, it will be held on October 1st at 5:30 pm! The route will be from Roosevelt Elementary to Titan Stadium on Josslyn Street. Make sure you bring your own chairs and blankets. Anyone is welcome to come. There will be a tailgate party at Titan Stadium after the parade. You are also invited to watch the football game at Titan Stadium.

September is National Suicide Prevention & Awareness Month. Signs of Suicide (SOS) is a curriculum designed for students to learn the risk factors and warning signs of depression and suicide, and more importantly, what to do when they recognize such concerns. Our district has adopted this curriculum for students in grades 6-12. All 6th grade students receive a comprehensive SOS lesson from their school counselor. Students in grades 7 will receive a follow up lesson in Health Class, and grade 8 will receive a follow up lesson in a class designated by the Principal.  In the same manner, all freshmen students will participate in a SOS lesson during their health class. A brief follow up lesson/annual review will occur during homerooms in grades 10, 11, and 12. Much like our students participate in ALICE training each year, they need to be equipped with how to proceed if they notice a peer in a crisis situation. OSHKOSH NORTH SCHOOL STORE OPENING IN OCTOBER!
As of right now the plan is for the school store to be fully open again starting in October. We are in the process of putting in a new apparel order and we will be able to offer a variety of new items next month. We are figuring out what hours of the day we will be open and what extracurricular events we will be open during and when we have that information it will be sent out! If you are interested, the online school store is currently open.

If something in our glass display catches your eye and you are interested in buying anything from our school store here at North, please just let me know and I can open the store up for you and take care of the sale. If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, or concerns please let me know.

HIGH SCHOOL MEAL SERVICES 2021-22

The Food Services Department encourages students to purchase Combo meals using the student’s food service account.  The account is accessed by the student’s pin number.  Combo meals provide the best value both nutritionally and economically.  

1.    All students are required to know their pin number.  Knowing this number moves the line faster. 
2.    In the Food Court, all students purchasing a combo meal will enter their pin number to access the student’s food service account.  
3.    Students paying full price for their meals will have the cost of the combo meal deducted from the student’s individual food service account.  They may also pay cash for the combo meal.  There must be money in the student’s food service account to eat.  If there is not money in the student’s account the student must pay cash to eat.  
4.    Students eligible for free meals will enter their pin number to verify they are eligible to receive a combo meal at no cost.  
5.    Students eligible for reduced meals will enter their pin number and the cost of a reduced price combo meal will be deducted from the student’s individual food service account. They may also choose to pay cash for the reduced price combo meal. There must be money in the student’s food service account to eat.  If there is not money in the student’s account the student must pay cash to eat.  

The Student’s food service account may be used to purchase a la carte items.
Parents / guardians may choose to disallow a la carte purchases.

MEALS THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL:  Any student that was receiving or was eligible for free or reduced price meals at the end of the last school year will be temporarily eligible in the beginning of the school year until a new application is received.  The student must have been in the school district last year for this to occur.  

***At this time, all students will receive free meals again for the 2021 – 2022 School Year.  However, we still highly encourage families to fill out free and reduced applications in order to qualify for other benefits.

APPLICATIONS FOR FREE AND REDUCED PRICE MEALS will be available online on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal in mid-July and will also be mailed out in the US mail to all households in mid-July.  Please return your completed application to the Food Services Office, Oshkosh West High School, 375 N. Eagle St., Oshkosh, WI  54902, or the School Office your 
child attends on or before the first day of school.

 LIMITED LUNCH SERVICE AT THE HIGH SCHOOLS:  Students who have a negative Food Service Balance will be allowed to eat a limited lunch.  The limited lunch will consist of a cheese sandwich (as the entrée) and then will be allowed to have the fruit, veggies and milk offered and the account will get charged accordingly for the limited lunch.  They will NOT be able to have their choice of an entrée.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN THE SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM

The food service department is seeking individuals to work for our department serving breakfast and / or lunch. The majority of these positions available are 1.5 - 2 hours in length and are during the breakfast and lunch service time, which varies with the school.  Opportunities for longer shifts and additional hours may also be available.  Please see the WECAN at https://wecan.education.wisc.edu website for employment opportunities along with applying for positions within the Food Service Department.

In our continual effort ot increase safety and security at our schools, the Oshkosh Area School District has expanded its safety protocols through the use of the Raptor Visitor Management System. The new visitor management system will be implemented on March 16, 2020, at all OASD schools.

Upon entering a school building, visitors will be asked to present a valid state-issued ID or simply provide their name and date of birth, which will be checked against a national sex offender database to ensure that registered sexual offenders are not entering our buildings. The system will also create a badge for visitors to wear while visiting a school. All visitors that wish to enter student areas of a school OR pick-up a student during school hours will be required to sign-in using the Raptor system. Visitors that are simply dropping something off at the office or meeting with office staff will not need to use the system. 

If a parent/guardian or visitor does not have a US government-issued ID, the school staff member can use any form of identification and manually enter the person’s name and date of birth into the Raptor system. The only data collected is the individual’s name, date of birth, and picture. No other pieces of information are collected nor is any of this information shared with any outside agency. 

The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority and the District has been proactive in implementing a layered approach to school safety. The Raptor Visitor Management System will allow us to quickly identify those that should not have access to our schools, and ensure that we continue to provide a safe and welcoming school environment. 

We appreciate your willingness to volunteer your time. Please work directly with the school you would like to volunteer regarding any questions you may have about your application and its status. Please note that a volunteer application only needs to be filled out one time per school year regardless if you want to volunteer in multiple schools. If you are selected to volunteer, please let the school secretary know that you have completed this form. By completing and submitting this form you agree to the following statement:
